How do I book a session?

In the menu at the top right corner of this website is a booking link to view my availability. You are more than welcome to reach out to me through the contact form on this site as well. You also can direct message me on my Facebook business page or email lavenderandgracephotography@gmail.com.
All sessions require a retainer at booking to lock in your spot. This retainer is non-refundable and goes towards your total amount due.

How do proofing galleries work?

New to 2025 Sessions: After your session I will upload your images and cull through them. Culling removes any blurry or soft images, blinking images that are not purposefully artistic, etc. The unedited best of images from your session will be placed in a proofing gallery and delivered to your email. This process will occur within 48 hours of your session unless otherwise discussed. You will then have 7 business days to return your choices to me. (Directions will be provided by email of how to do this). Your place in my editing queue is dependent on a timely return of your choices. If they are not returned within 7 business days, this will affect your place in my editing queue and your turn around time. Turn around time does not begin until your choices have been made.

What is your style of photography?

As an emotive storyteller, my sessions are geared towards lifestyle/documentary style imagery. My art is about capturing moments with connection, emotion, and is raw and authentic. While I will make sure to get at least one portrait style image with you looking, smiling and posing for the camera, the majority of your session will be lifestyle/documentary style. Your gallery will have a variety of images such as far away, up close, detail, etc. This is the style that lights a creative fire within me and is my passion!

With Storytelling/Lifestyle images will you tell us what to do?

I have years of experience in capturing storytelling moments. I know what positioning will look good and will also give you prompts to help you achieve authentic moments! Plus you will see me moving all around to achieve some amazing shots! So please don't worry I will be your guide throughout our time together!

What other type of sessions do you offer?

I also offer
-Seasonal Mini Sessions- may or may not be propped. Please follow Lavender & Grace Photography on Facebook for announcements on these sessions.
- Before the Bridge session for aging pets.
-Goddess session for individuals who want to take beautiful images in a gorgeous location.

Do you have a studio?

My work is primarily done outdoors in beautiful locations, but I do offer a studio rental option for 2025. Please click studio under portfolio for more info.

Do you photograph Cake Smashes?

I do offer these sessions! Client is responsible to provide the cake to ensure any allergy requirements are met. These sessions are done outdoors. I do suggest an hour session if you would also like to take some family images. Check out my portfolio under milestones to see some of my work!

Will you take images of me breastfeeding my child?

Yes, I am happy to take images of this special bond you share with your little one. Please notify me in the booking notes that you would like to make sure we capture this!

Do you photograph Extended family Sessions?

At this time I do not offer extended family sessions as I focus on my love of lifestyle photography for young families, maternity and children.

Do you photograph events?

I do not photograph events (weddings, reunions, baptism, birthdays, showers, etc). If you would like local recommendations for your event needs, I am happy to give you some names!
If you were married at a destination wedding and would like to get bridal portraits done in Colorado, I am happy to discuss this option with you!

Do images have to be shared on your social media or website?

First and foremost, these images are your memories and your privacy is important to me. If you wish to have your images remain private, just let me know and I will ensure they are not shared through my business.

How are images delivered?

All images are delivered in an online gallery in high resolution digital format. Clients download to their own desired location. It is up to the client how they would like to store their images for safe keeping.
You do receive a print release with your signed contract. This allows you to print where you would like to. Please know that my computer and editing software are calibrated to professional printers and I do have highly recommended print locations for you to use so that your images look like they do on your screen as close as possible.

How much is it to upgrade my gallery?

I have a tiered upgrade packages that starts at $50 for 5 images. As the tier increases you save more money on more images.
A la Carte images are $15 each.

Military and First Responders Discount!

Military and First Responders do receive a discount as a Thank You for serving our community and country. Please let me know at booking and I will apply the discount to your final invoice.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I do have this option. Your session cost can be split up into installments (between 2-6 installments depending on your individual needs). A non-refundable retainer is due at booking and is required to lock in your date and time. Remainder is due prior to session. If a payment plan is needed, please reach out and we can discuss this option.

What is your typical timeline?

Truly depends on package and if it's peak season. After your choices have been made from your proof gallery, 1-3 weeks is typical, but could be up to 6 weeks during peak season. For more accurate timeline, please ask at your session or at time of booking. My photography is art, and my editing style is NOT a quick turn around process. I like to take my time really creating something special with your images!

What payment methods are available?

I use Stripe which accepts debit and credit cards. If this form of payment doesn't work for you, please let me know and we can discuss other options.

Do you have a referral program?

Previous clients who refer new customers who complete a session, will receive 5% off their next session. Please make sure to notify me of this referral.

Is there tax included in my package cost?

Colorado tax law states that any package including physical or digital goods will require sales tax. You will see this on your final invoice as you are charged for the digital package.

Do you provide a mentorship option for photographers?

I appreciate all the inquiries I have had regarding this topic. At this time, I do not provide education to photographers.

What if I need to reschedule my session?

I know life happens and sometimes we need some grace. My non-refundable retainer can be transferred to a reschedule date one time without any reschedule fees. Mini sessions are not always available for an exact reschedule (ex. christmas mini), in these cases your non- refundable retainer can be transferred to another type of session one time. These reschedules need to occur no later than one year from original booking date for original retainer to be applied.
Please know reschedules are based on availability and may not always be available for the same time, day of the week, or location especially during peak season.
I do not refund non-refundable retainers as I offer reschedule dates.

Do you have gift certificates I can purchase?

Yes! I can provide either a physical gift certificate or a digital one based on your preferences!
All sales are final on gift certificates and can not be returned or exchanged, no cash refunds.
To purchase a gift certificate, please use the contact form and let me know:
1) Physical or Digital Gift Certificate
2) The amount (I do not provide gift certificates for a specific package as my prices have the potential to change, all gift certificates are based on dollar amount to be used towards a session)
I will then reach out to you through your provided email with an invoice for the gift certificate. After payment, your method of gift certificate, digital or physical, will be provided.
